Alsahwa Net- The Emirati-supported Southern Transitional Council militants killed and injured 300 people during one-day security raids against pro-government supporters in Aden and Abyan, Yemen’s Ministry of Human Rights said on Friday.
The state-run Saba News Agency reported a statement by the human rights ministry that 11 wounded soldiers were killed in medical clinics.
The STC militants have also raided a hostel for students from Shabwa in Aden and arrested a number of students.
The STC intensified its raids against pro-government citizens in Aden followed Emirati bombing against government troops last Thursday.
The human rights ministry said it received videos of murder and torture by the STC militants against government military prisoners.
It condemned these acts and said that such acts represent serious violations to the international humanitarian law.
The ministry called on the National Committee to investigate these violations and bring perpetrators to justice.
It called on the UN Human Rights Commissioner and human rights defending organizations to exercise pressures to stop these acts by the STC rebels.
